Snow Globes date back to the early nineteen century usually whimsical objects of memory, glass domes enclosing miniaturized scenes often with a landscape and figure. Reminiscent of Snow Globes Lisa Sewards’ orb shaped artworks and dome sculptures are metaphors for the constraints of reality, and reference her previous bodies of work. These pieces were created during the COVID-19 restrictions in Melbourne.
